J. Lohmann Gallery is pleased to present new works by Corinna Petra Friedrich at the Design Miami/ Podium exhibition.
The German designer, who is inspired by American patchwork quilts and African textiles, creates her hand-made ceramic vessels using a highly inventive reverse technique. Corinna first applies a combination of lively and experimental decorative patterns and various glazes to slabs of clay with screen printing techniques before assembling the cut out ceramic segments into surprisingly unique works of art.
